March 7th, 2008 · No Comments

G. David Colbert, an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad Co., has filed suit in Jefferson County against the company, alleging that it was responsible for repetitive trauma injuries he suffered on the job. Colbert, who worked as a conductor and brakeman, alleges that Union Pacific failed to meet federal and industry safety standards, such as the Safety Appliance and    Boiler/Locomotive Inspection Acts. He claims that the company’s negligence caused him to suffer injuries to his legs, knees, and lower body.

Colbert is demanding a trial by jury and is seeking damages for mental anguish, lost earnings, disfigurement, impairment, and medical bills.
