On October 9, 2007, Greg Mechling brought suit in St. Clair County Circuit Court under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act against his employer CSX Transportation, Inc. for injuries he sustained in the course and scope of his employment.
Mechling claims he was required to work with unsafe, heavy, awkward, vibrating, and torquing equipment during his tenure as a CSX trackman. As a result, he sustained occupationally related low back and neck injuries fostering pain, suffering, and mental anguish. While his injuries developed in 2005, he was diagnosed with said conditions in 2006.
Relatedly, Mechling has been unable to work since May 2006. He, likewise, claims to have lost wages in excess of $300,000. For more information, contact the FELA Lawyers at Williams Kherkher by calling 1.800.220.9341.
